In cash-strapped times everyone is looking to make savings where they can and now a top store says it has extended its discount scheme in a bid to help out its customers.
Sainsbury's has expanded the Nectar Price scheme which offers lower prices to customers who have signed up to it and now available discounts include fresh produce and ready meals for the first time. And that means around 18m shoppers with a Nectar card can now obtain lower prices on more than 2,800 products in stores, reports The Mirror.
Some of the new discounts for those customers include Sainsbury’s Strawberries for £1.75 instead of £2.25; its Best of British apples for 85p instead of £1.70 and Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Jersey Royal Potatoes for £1.50, down from £3. It adds that among the ready meal discounts are Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Fish Pie for £3.75 instead of £4.25 and Sainsbury’s Chicken Tikka Masala, costing £3.75 instead of £4.25.
