Saffron Beach and Homeless Songs set to face off again in Sun Chariot sequel

Saffron Beach Sun Juddmonte

Defending champion Saffron Beach will lock horns with Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Homeless Songs in the Royal Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

Homeless Songs was a brilliant winner of the fillies’ Classic at the Curragh in May, but prevailing fast ground meant she missed the majority of the summer.

Despite finishing fourth on her return to action a few weeks ago, connections are expecting an improved performance in a race Weld and owner-breeders Moyglare Stud Farm won 20 years ago with Dress To Thrill.
