A popular children's school shoe has been identified as posing a "risk of injuries".
The product safety information notice was posted for Clarks vibrant children's shoe range, specifically for a range called 'Find its'.
Each pair of shoes in this back to school range shoe contains a nature-inspire 'Find its' toy, which is a torch in the form of an insect, hidden inside.

"The product presents a risk of injuries. There is a risk of the toys breaking if left in the shoe, leading to ingestion hazards from small parts potentially including the button cell battery," the safety notice has warned parents and guardians.
Approximately 3,787 pairs of the shoes have been bought through various retailers.
The safety issue states that the type number of the models affected are: Vibrant Trail K Black Leather 26162072, Vibrant Glow K Black Patent 26162161, Vibrant Trail K Black Patent 26162242, Vibrant Glow K Black Leather 26162262 and Vibrant Oak K Black Leather 26162863.
"All toys included with the stated product codes are potentially affected," it warns.
Customers who have purchased any of these models are being asked to remove the toy from the sole of the shoe if they have not done so already, with the toy easily accessed by lifting the insole.
"The toy can be disposed of in line with local council guidelines for disposing of small electrical items/batteries. There is no fault with the shoes themselves and they are perfectly safe for children to continue to wear once the toy has been removed," the warning states.
