Safety review ordered after Oasis fan’s fatal fall at Wembley show

  • Safety concerns have been raised regarding barriers at Wembley Stadium following the death of Oasis fan Lee Claydon.
  • Mr Claydon, 45, died after falling from height at the stadium during an Oasis concert on 2 August last year.
  • A senior coroner has ordered a report to review the design, height, and placement of barriers on level five of the stadium.
  • The order was prompted by a letter from a former Wembley employee, which raised concerns about safety measures at the venue.
  • The Metropolitan Police concluded their investigation last November, ruling Mr Claydon's death a "tragic accident" with no suicide or third-party involvement.
