Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan has revealed that his bus driver father was assaulted “a number of times” as he expressed concern at the growing number of attacks on London transport staff.
The number of incidents has doubled in a year to about to about 200 a week, and some victims recounted their experiences in horrific detail to the London Assembly last week.
