Sadio Mane teased a move to Newcastle United by telling Geordie House of Lords member that he would never rule out a move to St James' Park.
Mane is set to leave Bayern Munich after punching team-mate Leroy Sane and his wage demands are £350,000 per week with that figure way above Newcastle's pay structure. Nevertheless, the ex-Liverpool star had some fun with the Conservative Peer during a trip to Senegal.
Lord Callanan, who is a self-confessed Newcastle fanatic, told Chronicle Live:" I’m in Senegal speaking at EITI Global conference, honoured to meet Sadio Mane in the hotel. "Couldn't resist asking him about coming to Newcastle United next season.
"His enigmatic reply was 'never say never', any chance?"

Lord Callanan's question has gone viral in the football world and even made headlines in Bild in Germany over the weekend!
German giants Bayern are open to offers for Mane after his clash with ex-Man City player Sane and the forward has been linked with Saudi Arabia side Al-Ettifaq this week. Mane was a superstar for Liverpool as they won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.
But he has been a disappointment in Germany so far. The 31-year-old's first season in the Bundesliga after his big move from Liverpool resulted in him scoring just seven times in 25 appearances.
Mane still has a house in the UK with the Senegal international a regular visitor to Liverpool. So far Mane has received no official offers from any club but has no future at Bayern Munich under Thomas Tuchel.
