Sadio Mane has revealed he is confident Liverpool can continue to climb the Premier League table after getting the better of Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp's side dug deep at Anfield to stun the reigning champions, with a second-half strike from Mohamed Salah settling the contest and ending the Reds' poor run of league form.
City had their own chances throughout the contest and saw a Phil Foden goal ruled out due to an earlier foul on Fabinho that went unpunished by referee Anthony Taylor.

Liverpool remain 14 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal, with a game in hand, but the 1-0 victory was very much a step in the right direction following weeks of below-par displays. One individual who was pleased to see the Reds get their season back on track with a huge home win was none other than Mane, who expressed his pride after learning of the final score on Merseyside.
With Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action at 6:30pm UK time, the Senegalese star could not watch all of the Premier League match involving his former side due to pre-match preparations taking place ahead of Freiburg's visit to the Allianz Arena.
Mane got on the scoresheet in a 5-0 victory for his new employers, but could not help paying tribute to Liverpool when speaking after his side's resounding triumph.
"I'm very happy for the guys that they beat City," he told BILD. "I couldn't watch because we were in the bus. I have a lot of faith in the guys and the coach that they will get back to the top"
