Sadio Mane 'attacked' and 'punched' Leroy Sane after Bayern Munich loss at Man City
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane reportedly punched Leroy Sane in the face after Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final first leg defeat by Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
The Bundesliga giants have a mountain to climb to keep their European hopes alive, having suffered a 3-0 loss courtesy of City goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland.
This result continues what has been a disappointing campaign as far as Bayern are concerned, and things haven’t gone according to plan for Mane since his summer switch either. After a bright start to life in Germany, the Senegalese forward was sidelined for three months and has faced criticism from local media for his performances since returning to the team in February.
Now involved in what appears to be a serious incident, it has been claimed Mane struck Sane in the face inside the Bayern dressing room after the full-time whistle.

Liverpool's transfer attention turns and shortlist emerges after Jude Bellingham interest dropped
With the benefit of hindsight, it might appear as though Liverpool's cooled interest in Jude Bellingham had in fact been hiding in plain sight for quite some time.
It became apparent on Tuesday evening that the Reds had finally decided that spending between £115-130m on one player at a time when significantly more additions are needed in the midfield area was a counter-productive strategy for the long term.
Despite being linked to Bellingham for the best part of 18 months, Liverpool have taken the decision to look elsewhere as they now weigh up what might be possible for a transfer budget that is almost certain to be impacted by a lack of Champions League football next season.
With a three-game week against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal - one which was widely referred to as "season-defining" in their top-four pursuit - yielding just two points, there is surely a reluctant acceptance now that those hopes have finally been extinguished.
