Just one day after the Milan Fashion Week Fall 2025 schedule was released news broke that Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno is exiting the famous fashion house. It's especially jarring because Gucci is set to kick off the week with a coed runway show.
It's also surprising since Gucci only put out a short statement declaring the departure and explained that the aforementioned show will be presented by the Gucci design office. So there's no indication of why the designer is leaving after only two years. Both the CEO of Gucci Stefano Cantino and Francesca Bellettini, deputy CEO of Kering, publicly thanked the designer for his contributions.
