More than 60 registered child sex offenders have been charged with breaching restrictions on their freedom in a recent crackdown in South Australia.
Over two days last week, police across the state visited the homes of 377 people on the Australian National Child Offender Register.
They searched 267 of those properties charging 62 offenders with breaching their ANCOR obligations.
Police seized 17 computers, 19 mobile phones, nine laptop computers and six hard drives or USBs.
One offender was arrested for breaching parole conditions, with another charged with aggravated indecent assault.
"Police will continue their investigations on a number of items seized last week, and there may be further charges laid," Acting Assistant Commissioner of Crime Service Stephen Taylor said.
Among a range of obligations, offenders on the ANCOR register must tell authorities about what internet accounts and email addresses they hold, must notify police if they take ownership of a vehicle and have restrictions on any contact with children.
