Police have had a busy night on South Australian roads, after two alleged drink-driving incidents, and an alleged assault of a ride-share driver, among other incidents.
A woman was allegedly caught drink-driving after crashing into a fence in Goolwa, south of Adelaide, last night.
Police said they were called to Partridge Street about 7pm on Saturday and a breath test allegedly showed the 63-year-old Goolwa woman was more than four times over the legal blood alcohol limit.
She lost her licence on the spot for a year.
A P-plater has also lost his licence for a year after allegedly being caught drink-driving in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs in the early hours of this morning.
Police stopped a Toyota Corolla travelling south along The Golden Way at Golden Grove at about 3:30am.
The 26-year-old Elizabeth Vale man was breath tested and allegedly returned a positive result of 0.219.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date, and his car has been impounded for 28 days.
Meanwhile, police are looking for a driver who allegedly smashed into two parked cars in Adelaide's north-west this morning, causing significant damage.
Officers were called to Hookings Terrace at Woodville Gardens just before 4am.
Police claim the car lost control at a nearby roundabout before slamming into a ute, a hatchback and brick wall.
Police said the cars were so badly damaged, it is expected they will be written off.
It is alleged there were three men in the offending vehicle at the time.
And two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly targeting ride-share drivers in Adelaide's north-east in the early hours of this morning.
Police allege a 15-year-old Elizabeth boy and 18-year-old Salisbury Park man assaulted and robbed an Uber driver on Main North Road at Salisbury Plain around 2am this morning.
The pair then allegedly approached another ride-share car at the car park of a nearby take-away restaurant and assaulted the passenger, smashing the windscreen in the process.
They allegedly ran off but were arrested after a short chase and have been charged with attempted robbery, two counts of assault and theft.
Horror road toll continues
Meanwhile, a man has died after falling off of his bicycle on a path south of Adelaide last night.
Emergency services were called to the lane next to Chandlers Hill Road at Happy Valley at about 5:45pm.
Despite the efforts of witnesses, the 49-year-old cyclist from Trott Park died at the scene.
And a 79-year-old woman from the ACT has died following a crash between the car she was driving and a truck at Two Wells last Thursday.
The woman was rushed to hospital with critical injuries following the crash, but died yesterday.
Police said 15 lives have now been lost on South Australian roads so far this year, compared to four at this time last year.
"This has to stop, and it has to stop now," Assistant SA Police Commissioner Ian Parrott said.
