Rylan Clark supported by fans as he sends emotional late night message

Rylan Clark has been met with support from fans after he sent an emotional tweet.

Coming home from a night out with friends, the TV presenter appeared to reflect on his single life as it dawned on him that he would like to stay home and relax with 'someone he cared about'. Rylan has been single for nine months, since his split from long-term partner Dan Neal last year.

Reflecting on his evening at 1.49am, the 33-year-old Tweeted : "Ever have a night out where u have a really good night with friends…. However on the way home u sit and think, would much rather a night in with Netflix and someone u care about…… yeah that babe." He followed it with a thumbs up emoji.

Rylan's fans were quick to rally round with supportive messages, reminding him that single life isn't all bad. Sarah said: "I do get that, but just in keep in mind there are plenty of people at home watching Netflix with their spouse and wishing they were out with their mates. The grass isn’t always greener. Soon you’ll be with someone you love and you’ll get your Netflix and chill evenings again x"

Others reminded him that good friends are also just as good as having a partner. Clare said: "You’ll find your prince one day. But for now be thankful for the good friends you have. Xx"

Nicola said: "It'll come - but the only way it will is when you're feeling your self again. So you need those nights out with friends. Take your time darling. xxxx"

After his divorce, Rylan admitted that the break up triggered a breakdown which led to him having dark thoughts. He bravely shared his struggles as he said that he had to go to hospital "for safety reasons". Speaking to the Observer, he said: "I didn’t think I’d be here. I didn’t think I could continue."

When asked if he meant continue to work or to live, he said: "Both. I didn’t think I’d actually come back. I was very… gone. I was having thoughts and doing things that made me… f***ed up, for want of a better word. I didn’t understand why I was doing that to myself. So, I went away for a bit."

However, he has since returned to work, gotten new veneers and most recently added three new members to his family. He welcomed an unusual choice of pet to his home - jellyfish - who he named Beyoncé, Kelly & Michelle.
