Rylan Clark's incredible bed head leaves him questioning what happens while he's asleep

Rylan Clark 's incredible bed head has left him questioning what happens while he's asleep.

Fans of the TV star are used to seeing him looking suave and put together on their screens, with his signature jet back hair perfectly coiffed.

However, the 33-year-old telly fave delighted his Instagram followers with the candid snap, showing all 1.5 million of them exactly what he looks like first thing in the morning.

The selfie showed Rylan capturing just what he’s faced with in the mirror when he wakes up, prompting him to joke about what exactly happens while he’s getting some shut eye.

“I don't know what happens when I sleep but every morning without fail my hair ends up like this,” he quipped.

The former X Factor contestant hinted that his bad hair day was still ongoing, as he shared a picture of him wearing a black baseball cap over his locks.

Rylan has been getting back into the swing of things on social media, after taking an extended career break following his split from husband Dan Neal.

The couple, who had been married for more than five years, announced their shock split in June last year, with Rylan issuing a statement as he took responsibility for the relationship breakdown.

“Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out - as the way it is being reported is unfair,” he began.

“I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.”

Rylan said he was seeking help after admitting to struggling with some personal issues and is “not in a good place at the moment”.

“I am trying to take each day at a time and would like to thank you to everyone for their support and for respecting our privacy at this time,” he added.

Following the split, Rylan took a break from hosting his Radio 2 show, and dropped out of hosting Eurovision as well as a number of other TV appearances.
