Rylan Clark returns to Radio 2 show after weeks away with mystery illness

Rylan Clark is confirmed to return to his Radio 2 shows after he took a few weeks off due to a mystery illness.

The Strictly: It Takes Two presenter usually fronts Rylan On Saturday every week from 3 to 6pm but took time off earlier this month due to a 'flu'.

After two weeks away, the 33-year-old is set to return to his usual slot.

A BBC spokesperson said: "We can confirm Rylan will be presenting his Radio 2 show tomorrow from 3-6pm with guests Dom Joly and Lou Sanders."

When he first took time off due to an illness, he made sure to update fans with what was going on.

"Gone and got the flu (not surprised) been in bed for a couple of days," he wrote at the time.

The TV star continued: "Have lat tested and not Covid thankfully but won’t be able to go on the wireless tomorrow. Be back soon x."

A week later, he revealed he was rushed to the hospital and was forced to miss his show again.

The presenter shared a snap from his hospital bed with a cannula in his arm.

He told his followers: "Finally home after an extended trip to Costa del hospital. Slowly on the mend. Won’t be on the wireless tomorrow. Resting up. Be back soon."

Rylan didn't explain the mystery illness any further.
