Rylan Clark has shared his thoughts on how to come back from one of the toughest 12 months in his life.
The popular TV and radio presenter has seen his marriage breakdown as well as a spell in hospital as he focused on his mental health.
The 33-year-old former X Factor star has said that despite all that has happened in the past year, the best remedy is laughter, saying that that this can "heal the soul".
The former Ready Steady Cook host and Celebrity Masterchef finalist was back with his kitchen apron on as he wore one of the new artist-designed homeware range that has been launched in TK Maxx and Homesense for Comic Relief.
Speaking about his support for Red Nose Day, which is on March 18, and also with a personal message about his current feelings, Rylan said: "Laughter heals the soul and that sums up Red Nose Day perfectly - bringing a smile to people's faces while helping out those who need it most.
"I'm in awe of the work Comic Relief does."
Previously, Rylan opened up about his difficult year on his podcast, Ry-union, on which he said: “I’ve never in my life thought that I would go through a crisis like that.
"But I did, ultimately, and it literally hit me round the face like a baseball bat, because I always thought I was too strong for it.
"Like, I’m never going to let anything like that happen to me, but then it does and it’s really, really hard to deal with.”
With such a traumatic time, Rylan admitted that his weight plummeted to 9st 13lb as he "didn't deal with what happened".
He hailed his mum Linda as a "lifesaver" while he wasn't feeling well.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: "I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under ten stone — and I’m six feet four inches, so that’s not good.
“The honest truth is that it’s been s**t."
Rylan said that his family had been "majorly worried" about him after he decided to "disappear for four months" and pulled out of his commitments over the summer.
"One of my biggest regrets of this year was putting my mum through me not being well," he said. "I needed to get back to me."
