Rylan Clark has shared a hilarious insight into his time on The Great Celebrity Bake Off - saying he crawled on the floor searching for Prue Leith's lost wedding ring and even calling a psychic to try and help her.
The TV star, 33, was runner-up on an episode of celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off, with Corrie star Michelle Keegan bagging the top prize.
Appearing on James Acaster's Off Menu podcast, Rylan couldn't contain his feelings of injustice any longer over his near-victory.
Recalling his time on the 2019 series, Rylan said Prue was getting so stressed he even phoned his psychic to try and help locate the ring.
He stormed: "I've got a gripe about it.
"We had an hour and a half to make some cream horns. I put mine in the oven. I'm taking mine out of the oven with five minutes to go, everyone else has not even got their pastry in the oven yet. I'm thinking 'I've won this one'.
"And someone walks into the tent and says 'Guys, we can see you're all having a bit of trouble here so we're going to give you another hour'. Because I thought I only had five minutes left, I thought I'm going to leave the orange out of the cream.
"Then Michelle Keegan wins. Paul and Prue come in 'Oh, there's no orange in this Chantilly cream'.
"To make matters worse, an hour before that I'm looking for Prue's wedding ring, which she'd lost, on the floor...doing cream horns, trying to put out fires all over the shop. Everyone else gets an extra hour!
"I rung my psychic. She was really stressing out. I was like 'let my ring psychic Alex'. We're going 'Prue check your pockets'.
"Do you know what, being a nice person gets you nowhere. F*** that. I'll show you the real me now."
The 2019 line up of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer saw Johnny Vegas, Georgia Toffolo, Jeremy Paxman, Nicola Adams and Katarina Johnson- Thompson, among others, take part.
Each episode of the celebrity specials saw a winner crowned, with Prue and Paul judging the creations.
The beloved original series returned to our screens this month, with the second episode airing yesterday evening, and some viewers were left baffled by one of the contestants "utterly bizarre" choice.
The remaining 13 contestants were tasked with making 12 macarons which did not look like the tradition French meringue-based sweet in the first challenge.
Syabira confused fans with her savoury flavoured recipe, which consisted of tofu and chicken satay.
One person wrote on Twitter : "Chicken satay macarons is one of the most offensive things I've heard in my life."
Another commented: "Savoury chicken satay macarons??? I’m very much Team Syabira but I’m not sure about this one."
However Paul was impressed by Syabira's creation, describing the satay as "really beautiful", and he loved the flavour.
