Rylan Clark has been flooded with messages after he declared 'we're back' in an update about his upcoming TV appearance. The BBC Radio 2 host will return from behind the mic to his sofa once more for Celebrity Gogglebox.
The 33-year-old quickly became a favourite on the spin-off of the hit Channel 4 show - as did his mum Linda. The mother and son pair were forced to miss out on the last series as Linda was ill.
Rylan told the Mirror back in 2020: "It'll be a year away now, we were really lucky to be part of the first one and the second one. It'll all just depend on what we're doing and if my mum's well enough. We're never gonna say never we don't know what position we're going to be in eventually."
Luckily for fans, the pair will return to the show when it hits screens for a brand new series on June 10. Tweeting a photo of the pair in Rylan's home with the confirmed air date, the TV and radio star said: "We’re back x." He also shared the same post with his 1.5m Instagram followers.
Fans were soon sending Rylan their comments as they were left delighted by the news. @Charl0ttesayshi said: "I can’t wait!!! Gogglebox isn’t the same without you both." @RichendaKing wrote: "Get in! Mumma Linda is back! We missed you both."
@NikkiGeraghty replied: "My Friday has just go so much better. Can’t wait." @jackies_life_in_pictures commented: "Best news of the day,can't wait to watch you and you lovely mum again on my tv." @mhairiyoung added: "You should honestly have your own show with your Mum Rylan - you’re both brilliant."
Rylan recently returned from Italy where he had the time of his life at the Eurovsion Song Contest. He joined Scott Mills as host of the two semi-final shows before the big competition took place on May 14. And it was worth the watch as the UK's entry Sam Ryder came in an impressive second place, seemingly ending the country's Eurovision drought.
And it left Rylan all emotional. Chatting on his Radio 2 show on Saturday, he told listeners: "To our boy, Mr Sam Ryder, congratulations mate. We had no doubt in you whatsoever but you really, really showed up." In a message to anyone who hadn't seen the stellar performance, he added: "It really is a must watch, I can’t even speak thinking about it, my heart!
"The amount of crying I did, was more than X Factor,’ he told fans, referencing his iconic moment which saw him burst into tears opposite Nicole Scherzinger back in 2012."
