Rylan Clark has hit back at comments that he's a 'talentless idiot' after wading into the latest political chaos. The BBC Radio 2 host regularly shares his thoughts on the latest goings on in Government. And Monday (October 17) was no different when Liz Truss appeared to go 'missing' amid calls for her resignation.
The Prime Minister is facing calls to resign and has been warned by a senior minister that she cannot afford to make any more mistakes as she battles to stay in No 10. She is expected to hold talks with the European Research Group of Tory MPs on Tuesday evening after being forced to watch as her entire economic strategy was torn up by the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt.
Rylan tweeted amid the day's latest political row: "If anyone can find Liz Truss I’ll give ya €5." Less than an hour later he shared a follow-up tweet which read: "She’s been found €5 is now off the table."

But it appears the 33-year-old's comments didn't go down well with his followers as he later returned to the social media platform and clapped back: "Nice to see the brigade out tonight more offended by a 'talentless idiot' asking where the PM is rather than the state of our country. GOD FORBID."
He added: "Don’t waste your time on me. Honestly it’s wasted." A couple of hours later, Rylan posted again, this time questioning his own bite back at the trolls. "Why has it only just clicked? I can sit on twitter reading random replies and argue with people I don’t know, or I could get changed into a tracksuit, worry about my own life and those around me and live in the real world?"
Signing off for the evening, the TV and radio star added: "Babe, I’m gonna do that… night night." And he would have woken up to plenty of support and his loyal fan base rushed to comment. @shezzapixie said: "You're the most important person in life. S*d the haters they have life issues they are hiding from."
@Jeniren0207 replied: "Keep creating and enjoying your best life and let any negativity go right over your head." @ElaineCull3 posted: "Rylan, you are the loveliest man ever, and so talented and very much loved." @Alysonf1977 shared: "Ignore the negative people. We love you for who you are." @Melanieking17 added: "Absolutely the best way forward!! Just carry on being you and to hell with anyone else’s opinion their opinions don’t matter!"
It comes after Rylan distracted with his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two on Monday night. The presenter had bagged the first interview with the dance contest's latest eliminated couple Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova. There was some confusion, however, as the Bros singer appeared via video link with other work commitments keeping him away from being live in the studio.
Rylan looked as fabulous as ever, donning a tight white long-sleeve turtle neck jumper which he paired with a beige pair of trousers that featured a drawstring at the front with a pleat down the front of the leg. He also had his trademark dark locks slicked back and beard immaculately trimmed.
But it appears the trousers caused some confusion among It Takes Two viewers. @CosyCornerReads asked: "Why is Rylan wearing joggers again on #ItTakesTwo #Strictly." @heavenstobetsie posted: "More drawstring trousers? No, Rylan, no. #ItTakesTwo," to which @cazpaz replied: "I can’t work them out! Pjs? Joggers? Rylan: non!! As for the top. Non as well. We are used to better."
Others, however, must have been a fan as @aimasters said: "Hope your neck is better, you looked good on ITT tonight." Responding to his tweet this morning, @iamicaniwill added: "Loved what you were wearing on #strictlyittakestwo last night btw. Fab."
