Ryanair passengers have received an alert after it was forced to cancel thousands of flights. On Wednesday (July 5) the airline issued the message at around 11.30am, after some 4,000 flights have been cancelled so far in 2023.
As reported by Liverpool Echo, Ryanair said the cancelled flights, which were mainly due to fly over France, could not go ahead as planned due to French Air Traffic Control strikes.
It added: "It is unacceptable that France uses Min Service Legislation to protect French flights during these repeated ATC strikes, while overflights, none of which are operating to/from France, suffer all these cancellations.
