A stunned traveller has told how he was barred from a Ryanair flight to Portugal despite having 12 months left on his passport.
Retired chartered surveyor Ian Glover, 66, says he was turned away from the check-in desk at East Midlands Airport on Monday.
He renewed his passport early in 2012, when it still had a year to run - meaning its expiry date was listed as April 2023, giving him just under a year left on the document.
