Dublin Airport and Ryanair have today announced a 'record-breaking summer schedule' with over 900 flights taking off every week from Dublin.
Included in the summer schedule is an additional 22 routes that passengers can look forward to flying off to this summer.
The schedule includes flights to tourist hotspots in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Croatia.
There will also be new flights to Nuremberg and Nimes as well as regional areas of France.
One of the main reasons for this record-breaking schedule is the introduction of the Traffic Recovery Support Scheme (TRSS) that has allowed daa to incentivise airlines "to rebuild international connectivity from Dublin Airport."
To celebrate this announcement, Ryanair has launched a limited-time seat sale with fares starting at just €29.99 for travel until the end of June 2022 with no penalties if you need to change your booking.
The sale ends midnight, January 23.
Ryanair DAC’s CEO, Eddie Wilson, said: "We are pleased to announce our largest ever flight schedule at Dublin Airport this summer. This extensive programme will see Ryanair operate over 900 weekly flights to over 120 destinations, giving inbound tourism a much-needed boost while also giving Irish consumers the widest choice of great destinations this summer."
Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D. said: "Government funding of €160m to our airports in recent months including over €97m to Dublin Airport has put daa in a position to offer attractive incentives to their airline partners and this announcement by Ryanair represents the fruits of that."
"The restoration and growth of the route network out of Dublin Airport this summer is welcome news as we rebuild the international connectivity stymied by the global pandemic."
