Speaking on his RTE Radio One show, Tubridy was audibly excited about the prospect of going maskless.

He said he is particularly looking forward to seeing the changes implemented for Late Late Show audiences on Friday night.
"For the first time in two years I'm going to see people's faces looking back at me and I'm thrilled," he said.
While it has been nice seeing audiences' eyes, he added he can't wait to see their full faces looking back at him as he hosts the weekly chat show.
The presenter recounted how he met a colleague on Friday morning and questioned why he was still wearing a mask on "freedom day" for RTE.
He added that he had "mask-talgia" after coming across an old face covering from lockdown one in his office and described the eased rules as going "maskless in Seattle".
Until now, Late Late Show audience members were still required to don face coverings even though almost all Covid rules have been lifted.
RTE mandated that masks be worn when people are on its premises, with the exception to this when contributors were appearing on camera or are part of a news report or programme.
The only time when audiences were not required to don a mask is when they were eating and drinking, with audience guests served "non-alcohol refreshments" upon their arrival in studio.
