Ryan Thomas has admitted to feeling jealous his two-year-old son Roman is getting all of his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh's attention.
In a candid chat, the soap star, 37, spoke about their relationship and how he can find it difficult former TOWIE star Lucy, 30, isn't as affectionate as him.
The couple spoke of the pressure of starting a family in lockdown and how they have made more of an effort with their relationship ahead of welcoming their second child together.
Speaking of how Lucy is focused on motherhood, Ryan said in his Mancs On The Mic podcast: "She's obsessed with Roman and it's amazing. But then sometimes she'll kiss and cuddle him and go, " I love you so much, give me a snog", and I go, "What about me?".
"Sometimes it's very difficult for me to adapt to someone that's not as warm and affection as I am, we can't all be huggy, kissy, lovey people."
Giving her take on the situation, Lucy said: "I think we had added pressure in our relationship as a new family, we had a baby in lockdown and we never got any time as a couple.
"And I think that has a negative effect on our relationship if we look back".
The fitness guru said they are now making more of an effort to spend time together, away from parenting duties.
She added: "We do need date nights. And it's different because we were so crazy before we had Roman. We went out when we wanted, we'd jump on a plane to Ibiza and it can't be like that now. We have to schedule dates."
To which Ryan joked: "I just go on my own now".
It comes after the television personality confessed he was just 'looking for a s**g' when he first tried to woo Lucy.
Speaking of how their relationship blossomed on Bear Grylls The Island, Ryan said: "You have that butterfly feeling in your stomach when you like someone. I had it before I had Lucy. Even on the training days I was looking at her and she’d look at me and she was just thinking ‘oh, we’re just working together’. But I was thinking…"
Jumping in, Scott then said: “That’s a credit to Lucy though. She’s so professional in the way that she approaches everything that literally, this was business.”
And at this point Ryan crassly announced: “Yeah. And I just wanted a s**g!”
While the boys could then be heard erupting into raucous laughter, there was deafening silence coming from Lucy as well as Caroline – who, as Adam’s wife, had also joined the podcast.
As the laughter rattled on, it was suggested Lucy was deeply offended by Ryan’s laddish quip – with Adam noticing the tension and quickly informing listeners: "If you could see Lucy now".
Ryan then hastily apologised saying: "Sorry babe".
