Ryan Thomas left his fans all emotional as he shared a video of himself surprising his sister-in-law. The actor, who played Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, left his home in Essex with fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh and their daughter, Lilah, as he headed back up north to Manchester with their son, Roman.
Ryan appeared keen to show his support for Caroline, the wife of his younger brother and fellow actor Adam Thomas, as she marked 10 years since setting up the ABCD School Of Dance & Drama, which is based in Timperley, Altrincham, with a special end-of-year show.
Caroline and Adam's son, Teddy, was one of the performers on Sunday night (December 11), as was their daughter, Elise. And Ryan joined Adam's twin Scott in the audience with Roman and his daughter Scarlett, whom he shares with Corrie star ex Tina O'Brien. Adam, however, wasn't to be seen but he did share on Instagram on Monday morning that he wasn't well.

Posting a video to Instagram featuring a compilation of clips from the show featuring Roman on Scarlette's shoulders as he watched all the action on stage as well as the sweet moment he surprised Caroline backstage, Ryan typed: " We came to surprise the family for the 10 year anniversary of @abcdschoolofdanceanddrama what a show, what a performance.
"Roman has never been to the theatre before & watched it from start to finish mesmerised!! Well done to all the children & everyone behind the scenes you were all incredible tonight."
He then added to his sister-in-law, who married former Emmerdale and returning Waterloo Road star Adam in 2017: "@carolinethomas23 I’ve watched you grow this school from the start you put your heart & soul into it with hard work, dedication & such kindness, you really care about these children it’s special to see. Congratulation!!! We as a family are all so proud of you."
Caroline was quick to comment on the black and white video, set Phil Collins track 'You'll Be In My Heart', with her writing: "Love you so much! The best surprise," alongside a heart and string of crying emojis. And former Boyzone star Keith Duffy commented: "Wow that just looks magical." The Thomas brothers' mum Gail also added: "I’m crying buckets here. Beautiful."
But Ryan's followers couldn't help but shed tears as they watched the video and took to the comments to tell Ryan how emotional they felt. @jayne_louise1962 said: "Wow that made me cry - you and your families have such special bond and it’s so lovely to follow you all on your journeys."
