Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas son has been rushed to hospital and kept in for 24 hours.
Little Roman has been battling some serious health issues which have specialists have been investigating after the tot was found blue in his cot by his terrified mum a year ago.
Actor Ryan took to his Instagram last night to share a black and white photo of the youngster in a cot in A&E as they spent the night in hospital.
The concerned dad wrote alongside the snap: "Me and my little man have unfortunately been in this situation many times before.
"But this weekend we spent 24 hours in hospital away from home - but wanted to say a massive thank you to all the doctors and nurses at The Cumberland Infirmary for the hard work and dedication in making sure we get the best care possible.
"Me and my boy are home safe because of you. We are truly grateful."
Last month, mum-of-two Lucy had to rush her son into hospital after contracting a virus at pre-school.
The former reality star assured fans he was fine and sometimes needed help to fight virus' after being sick when he was younger.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star had to rush the two-year-old to hospital last September and he was put on a ventilator in intensive care, something Lucy and partner Ryan Thomas described as “every parent’s worst nightmare”.
Since his horror health scare last year, the tot has needed daily medication and an inhaler to help him breathe properly.
The youngster has also been having regular check-ups to monitor his progress and received a new diagnosis earlier this year.
Recently, reality TV star Lucy explained that doctors had discovered that liquids were able to leak into Roman’s lungs .
As a result, the youngster must drink fluids that contain a thickening agent.
Doctors had discovered fluid has been entering Roman’s lungs whenever he has a drink. The little one had to have a special ‘videofluroscopy’ – a moving X-ray taken as a patient consumes fluid.
Lucy explained: “It was to check that there wasn’t any fluid when he drinks going down the wrong way and into his lungs.
“I honestly thought that it wasn’t going to show that, so I kept my days’ work in and he went with Ryan.
“I like to be at all the appointments and Ryan rang me and said it was showing there is fluid going into his lungs.”
Choking back tears, Lucy continued: “I feel really weird about it because I’m sad for Roman.”
Doctors said Roman must have a special thickener – which won’t get into his lungs – instead of thin fluids from now on.
This treatment could be something little Roman is on for “years” as experts try and figure out an alternative.
And in further heartbreak for Lucy and Ryan, their baby Lilah was rushed to hospital and placed on oxygen after she struggled to breathe last month after becoming "really poorly".
She shared a photo of her daughter laying in a cot with tubes attached to the tot and revealed she had been diagnosed with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus).
According to the NHS , RSV is a "very common virus" but can cause bronchiolitis, which little Lilah had developed.
After a few days in hospital, she was released "a little sleepy and still [with] a bad cough".
The gorgeous mum gave birth to her second child, Lilah, in May his year.
