Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds has reportedly bought a £1.5m home in a Welsh village close to the football club he has taken over. The Deadpool star, who purchased Wrexham FC with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, has bought a home in Marford in North Wales, according to a report in The Sun.
The village is about six miles from Wrexham's Racehorse Ground. The pair have made several trips to watch their team, who play in the National League, the fifth tier of English football.
The possibility of the superstar coming to Marford got residents chatting on a local Facebook group, North Wales Live reported. One resident joked whether the film star would prefer shopping in the Co-op or the Spar.

The site said Marford is one of the most expensive areas to live in the region. Wrexham are currently joint top of the league, alongside Notts County. Both are on 100 points, and face each other in North Wales this afternoon.
Ryan and Rob bought the club in 2020 and a fly on the wall documentary, Welcome to Wrexham, has chronicled their tenure at the club. The show documents Wrexham's battle to get promoted as well as the lives of some of the city's residents and supporters of the football club.
