Ryan Reynolds 'chartered £100k private jet to leave Wrexham for New York' after huge win

Ryan Reynolds apparently made a swift exit from his beloved Wrexham FC on Easter Monday in a private jet, despite a big win for the club.

The Hollywood actor, 46, didn't get chance to stop for a celebratory pint as he landed back in New York just nine hours after the full-time whistle went.

The proud owner of the Welsh football club managed to get back home to actress wife Blake Lively, where they were spotted hand in hand hours after the match.

Ryan reportedly forked out £100,000 to charter his own flight from Manchester to Teterboro shortly after his team beat title rivals Notts County.

Ahead of the clash, the actor flew to London from New York before travelling to Chester airport via helicopter and heading to The Racecourse Ground via a chauffeur driven car, according to MailOnline.

Ryan is said to be coming back to the UK this coming weekend as Wrexham face Barnet away on Saturday.

The Deadpool star and co-owner of the club fellow actor Rob McElhenney, 45, have a nervous wait ahead as they look set to achieve promotion to the Football League from the Vanarama National League.

"Ryan is totally dedicated to Wrexham and the club's success this season; he wants to see them promoted," a source told the online site.

"He knows him being there gives the team the support they need at such a crucial point so is putting in the travel time to ensure they reach this goal.

"But he's also a family man and given his status, flying via private jet to also be there for Blake and their children is the only viable option."

Taking to Instagram shortly after the full-time whistle blew to see Wrexham win 3-2 against Notts County, Blake was full of praise for the men on the pitch - and also enjoyed seeing her non-alcoholic brand Betty Buzz get a mention.

Posting a still of the game to her Instagram Stories, the actress said: "MVP @benfosters backdropped by @bettybuzz. I'm deceased."

She added: "@wrexham_afc you killed it today gentleman. Wow. Wow. Wow. All of you. And the entire town who breathes fire into you each, this is for, and because of you. What a moment. Congratulations."

Blake took a moment to also praise the travelling County side, adding: "And terrific game @nottscountyfc. Hats off to you each and all of your incredible supporters. That was beautiful."

Ryan gushed over his club in an emotional interview after the match, saying he felt he had "used all the beats" of his heart up.

"That was unlike anything I've ever seen before," he admitted.

Calling football a "beautiful torturous game," he added he is now "very hooked" on the game, admitting he was at a loss for words following the result.

His clubs is now three points clear of their rivals Notts County at the top of the table, with the season's achievements set to feature in yet another addition of hit Netflix show Welcome to Wrexham.

The Mirror has contacted Ryan Reynold's representative for comment.
