It seems the after-party following Wrexham's National League title win is not over yet.
Last Saturday, some 15 years after being relegated from League Two, The Dragons returned to the big time with a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood. And in the emotional scenes that followed, the club's Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - already cult heroes in the Welsh town - were essentially elevated to God like figures.
And that status could yet be further enhanced, in the eyes of the players at least. Not only have each of the squad earned a £250,000 bonus for being promoted - but they are now set to jet off to America.
In an interview with The Athletic, Wrexham board advisor Shaun Harvey admitted: "There is a trip to Las Vegas being mooted." And given the cash pumped into the club by the two A-listers, players shouldn't be short of spending money in the casinos and clubs around 'Sin City'.
The nightlife may prove a little different to the local, traditional pubs found in the region of North Wales though. But with the club having already delved into reality TV with its 'Welcome to Wrexham' series, this is one the place where those involved may not want the cameras.
And should the trip take place, it won't be the club's only US adventure this summer. The first team squad will tour the country in pre-season, having fixed a lucrative friendly with Chelsea in South Carolina on July 19, before another money spinning game in San Diego against Manchester United a week later.
But prior to stepping on a plane, the town will host the heroes in an open top bus parade next Tuesday. And amid the promise of new signings, McElhenney has also excited fans by publicly courting Gareth Bale.
After Bale uploaded a video in which he sent a congratulatory message to the owners and players, the American actor cheekily tried to get Bale to put pen to paper on a return to football with a move to the Racecourse. Writing on Twitter, he said: “Hey @GarethBale11 let’s play golf, where I totally won’t spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season."
Rather than quell the notion, Bale replied by saying. “Depends what course,” with The R&A tagged. Bale was contracted to Los Angeles FC before opting to retire from all football after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
