Ryan Reynolds has been filming the highly-awaited Deadpool 3, with him having been spotted working on the upcoming sequel on location in the UK earlier this week.
The actor, 46, reprises his role as Wade Wilson - who's better known by his superhero moniker Deadpool - in the film, which is expected to follow on from Deadpool 2 (2018).
He was spotted filming a scene in London this week, with Ryan - who first played Wade in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) - seen in the character's iconic red and black suit.
He appeared to have been filming a car crash in the woods, with a stunt double said to have also been spotted on set. They're said to have worn Deadpool's suit "minus the eyes".
It's been suggested that it's being filmed in the UK so Ryan can more easily manage commitments with Wrexham AFC, having bought the club with Rob McElhenney in 2021.
The new film marks the return of Hugh Jackman, 54, as the character James 'Logan' Howlett, who is better known as Wolverine. He played the character in the X-Men film series.
Hugh last played the role in Logan (2017), but is reprising the beloved character in Deadpool 3, reuniting with pal Ryan, whom he worked with on X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
The latest collaboration was announced last year, with Ryan teasing in a video: "Hey Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?" Hugh then responded: "Yeah, sure, Ryan".
A host of actors are set to return as their characters from the previous Deadpool films, like Morena Baccarin, who played Wade's fiancée Vanessa in the previous two films.
Other former cast members expected to return in the upcoming sequel include actors Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna and Stefan Kapičić.
Ryan made his debut as a version of comic character Wade - who was at the time also referred to as Weapon XI, rather than Deadpool - in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), before taking on a different version in the Deadpool film series.
He first played the latest version of the character in Deadpool (2016), before reprising the role in Deadpool 2 (2018), ahead of his return in the third instalment.
Deadpool 3 will be the first instalment in the film series that is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is scheduled to be released next year as part of Phase Five.
Other films in that phase include Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), as well as various yet to be released projects.
The upcoming Marvel films - which are scheduled to be released within the next two years - include The Marvels, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts and Blade.
