Ryan Porteous has been tipped for a move to Celtic by a Hibs hero - if he shines in today’s Parkhead clash.
The towering defender and Easter Road favourite is currently enjoying the season of his career, with a heroic Scotland debut against Ukraine coming inbetween two more stand-out displays including netting the winner last time out in the home win over Motherwell. Those performances have impressed many, including manager Lee Johnson who is desperate to tie him down on a long-term contract with a deal on the table. But one former Hibs man believes his future could lie at the home of the current Premiership Champions.
Tam MacManus reckons today’s clash could be a ‘dress rehearsal’ and the chance for Porteous to wow Ange Postecoglu. Speaking on PLZ Soccer, the ex-Hibee told how Porteous has all the credentials to fit into the Hoops dynamic way of playing. MacManus said: “I think this a great rehearsal for him to possibly get a move to Celtic.”

"I think he suits the way Celtic play down to a tee. He's got pace, can play a high line. He's great on the ball, comes out from defence and creates overloads in the middle of the park, he's not scared to bring it out to make passes.
"I think if he puts a good performance in and impresses Ange tomorrow then there's every opportunity that Celtic would have a bite at him on a free."
Hibs head to Celtic Park today looking to get back to winning ways after a midweek defeat away to Dundee United.
The Easter Road side will look to remain the best of the rest in the league after leapfrogging St Mirren to third last week.
