Ryan Porteous believes some of the best football of his career has come this season, despite being under the spotlight with numerous disciplinary issues.
The Hibernian defender missed last weekend's Premiership Edinburgh Derby defeat to Hearts due to a four game suspension.
But the 23-year-old is back and raring to go as they sides meet again in the Scottish Cup semi finals on Saturday.
"I feel when I'm on it, this has been the best season for me", Porteous told BBC Scotland.
"I think this is probably the best I've been where I feel like if I'm on the park I can control the game.
"I can start our attacks, I do like to play through the lines and keep the ball.
"But obviously it is frustrating and there's stuff I need to work on with the manager on the pitch, off the pitch.
"I'm young, I'm learning but I'm ready to go for Saturday and that's one I'm looking forward to."
Porteous recently admitted he was targeting a spot in Steve Clarke's Scotland World Cup squad should they qualify.
