Hibs have NOT been approached by Rangers about Ryan Porteous, who is almost certain to leave Easter Road next month.
The 23-year-old defender is about to enter the final six months of his contract and is expected to leave the Leith men during the January transfer window having turned down the offer of a new, improved deal. Boss Lee Johnson has already said that the club wants to try to cash in in the Scotland international who has attracted interest from the English Championship.

However, former Hibs boss Jim Duffy reckons there is serious interest from the Ibrox club. He was asked on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard about a potential move to Celtic and said: "Not to throw cold water on [that] suggestion because I agree with it, but I have heard that there is a little bit of a suggestion that he could be going across the road to their greatest rivals. So, I have heard that, whether there's that much in it, but that's something that's in the air."
The Times are reporting that Hibs have not had any contact from Rangers although they anticipate offers to start to materialise in he coming weeks.
Hibs restart the Premiership campaign at Ibrox on December 15 in what will be Michael Beale's first game in charge.
The capital club suffered a poor run of results heading into the Premiership shutdown and will be determined to cause a major upset when they visit Glasgow next midweek as they bid to get their top six and European bid back on track.
