Burnley have now ‘made their move’ for Rangers winger Ryan Kent with the newly-promoted English Premier League preparing for a top flight return.
Kent is in the final months of his current Ibrox deal with his future looking likely to be away from the Scottish Premiership side, who he joined four years ago initially on loan, and Vincent Kompany has been linked with the 26-year-old as he prepares the Lancashire club for a return to the top flight south of the border.
Now the Daily Mail report that Burnley have stepped up their efforts. They state that Burnley have ‘declared their interest’ in Kent and that they have also scouted Aberdeen strike sensation Duk after watching the Portuguese frontman in action, although Record Sport does not believe this to be the case with the Dons star.
Kent and Alfredo Morelos will both see their deals expire at the end of this season and look set for a departure with Michael Beale facing a huge recruitment job this summer. But the Daily Mail say that Jose Cifuentes is unlikely to be one of those incoming.
The 24–year-old Ecuadorian is heading into the final year of his Los Angeles FC contract and is being chased by a clutch of clubs in Europe with Rangers said to have been one of them.
