Ryan Hedges seals Aberdeen transfer exit as Blackburn Rovers land winger on 3-year deal

Blackburn have signed Ryan Hedges from Aberdeen in a £200k deal.

The 26-year-old has been a key player for Stephen Glass ' Dons this season, recovering from injury to score important goals against Dundee and Livingston.

But he was set to be out of contract at the end of the season and Record Sport revealed over the weekend that Blackburn had agreed a £200k fee with the Dons.

That deal has now been confirmed with Blackburn announcing he has signed a contract through 2025.

An Aberdeen statement reads: "Aberdeen FC today confirms Ryan Hedges has signed for EFL Championship side, Blackburn Rovers, for an undisclosed fee.

"The 26-year-old winger joined the Dons in the summer of 2019 after signing a pre-contract agreement.

"The Wales International has made 86 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals, including six in Europe.

"Everyone at Aberdeen wishes Ryan all the very best in his future career."

Hedges could make his debut against Swansea in his native Wales this weekend.
