Newcastle United will look to clear a huge slice of their wage bill by moving Ryan Fraser after making the winger available on loan.
Norwich City boss David Wagner and a clutch of other Championship clubs are interested in a loan move for the Scotland international who has no future on Tyneside after falling out of favour with Eddie Howe. Fraser was told to train with the Under-21s last winter after Howe stated he wanted "committed" players in his squad.
Fraser got on with life at the club's Academy but even during an injury crisis Howe did not turn to his former AFC Bournemouth winger at the end of the season, seemingly spelling the end of his time at St James' Park after three years. Fraser's wages are around £70,000 per week at Newcastle freeing up enough to help facilitate a new signing.
The Scotland international was one of the club's top earners when Steve Bruce signed him from Bournemouth in 2020. But Howe wants all parties to move on as preparations for the 2023/24 season get underway.

Norwich would be expected to pay a portion of his wages but Newcastle could shave off a six-figure sum on wages if he departs in time for pre-season training. Fraser's representatives are establishing whether there is any firm interest from the Premier League before finalising any move to the second tier.
Newcastle will announce their retained list in due course with Republic of Ireland international Ciaran Clark and goalkeeper Dan Langley are expected to leave. Howe offered Matt Ritchie and Paul Dummett extensions with the duo expected to update their futures before pre-season training in July.
