A lot of pundits are feeling positive about Arsenal's title chances this season, however the glowing praise is usually followed by a 'but'. That 'but' is then normally followed by concerns over the depth of Arsenal's squad - and worries that they won't have enough to compete for the Premier League's top prize.
Gunners legend Thierry Henry and former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra are both of the view that Arsenal's lack of depth could let them down, with Evra calling on Edu to make some January additions so that the north London side can maintain their unlikely title tilt.
So far, Arsenal's squad has dealt well with the hectic fixture schedule. October has been a particularly busy month, but Arsenal picked up their eighth straight win against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday evening, with Granit Xhaka scoring the only goal of the game.

The win saw Arsenal qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League against a PSV side who were unbeaten in the group up to that point. PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy was very complimentary of Mikel Arteta's side post-match, but the former United striker believes they could face one major challenge.
"The way he [Arteta] is building his team, the way he’s letting his team play, the signings he’s made to make his team play the way he wants to play and he’s connecting it with results," said van Nistelrooy.
"And if you are 10 games gone in the Premier League, winning nine of them, you’re definitely a contender. Obviously it’s the youngest team in the Premier League more or less, so that is the challenge."
It's not quite as strong as Alan Hansen's 'you can't win anything with kids' comment - but the logic is the same. According to transfermarkt, the average age of the Arsenal squad is 23.7 years - the only side in the Premier League with an average age of below 24.
Given how many games will be played this season with the World Cup taking place midway through the campaign, it could be argued that having a young squad will boost Arsenal's title hopes. In addition to that, Gabriel Martinelli is unlikely to go to Qatar and therefore will be fresh when the Premier League returns after the World Cup break, while the likes of Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko won't be going to the tournament.
