Ruth Langsford caused a brief halt to Loose Women, over concerns for her co-star Brenda Edwards, as camera rolled on the live broadcast on Tuesday.
For the second successive day, the popular presenter was in charge of the panel, as the ITV lunchtime programme returned in its usual 12.30pm time slot for its second show of the week and was joined by Brenda and fellow colleagues Coleen Nolan and Gloria Hunniford to talk about a range of topics including working through marital issues and laws on abortion, as well as be joined by studio guests Hilary and Michael Whitehall, the parents of comedian Jack.
Another star who appeared on Tuesday's Loose Women was Gok Wan, who joined the ladies via live video link from Ibiza, with the Balearic Isle looking absolutely stunning as the How To Look Good Naked host delivered details of what he branded a 'life changing' competition.

After Gok had finished his segment, camera went back on Ruth in the studio but, rather than move on the show, the hoist glanced to her left as coughing was heard out of shot. A it then became apparent that it was former X Factor star Brenda who was making the noises, Ruth asked: "You alright Brenda? Ok? You sure/" as Brenda looked a little flustered.
Satisfied everything was in fact alright, Ruth then moved on with proceedings, with her second consecutive day as Loose Women anchor seeing her forced to interact with This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby, a day after viewers at home claimed to have clocked 'obvious' tension between the two ITV stars.
Reacting to the exchange, one tweeted: "@thismorning how very rude. Holly blanked Ruth and Ruth’s face was a picture. @hollywills needs to get real or get out," with a second posting: "Ruth's absolute disdain for Holly is absolutely brutal," with a third responding: "It's so uncomfortable to watch but I love it"
