Russian woman living in Leeds after escaping 'Putin's regime' speaks out as she says she 'can't be ashamed' of her country

A Russian woman living in Leeds has explained why she “can’t be ashamed” of her country but is still against the Ukraine invasion.

Demonstrators gathered in front of the Parkinson Building last night (February 28) in solidarity with Ukraine, which has been attacked, bombed and devastated by Russian troops.

There have been more than 350 civilian deaths reported, including 16 child deaths and 45 children injured in the conflict.
