A US Navy submarine has arrived in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in a show of force as a fleet of Russian warships gather for planned military exercises in the Caribbean. Ed Augustin reports from Havana. Jeffrey Hawn, researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science, tells FRANCE 24's Mark Owen that the small size of the Russian fleet involved in the naval drills in the Caribbean is indicative that the exercises are largely symbolic.
