Russian general killed on battlefield in Ukraine, says St Petersburg’s governor

The deputy commander of the eighth army of Russia’s armed forces has been killed in the war in Ukraine, Russian media has reported.

St Petersburg’s governor Alexander Beglov. Beglov confirmed the news Major General Vladimir Frolov had died in battle.
