Donald Trump said he hopes Vladimir Putin “does the right thing” and agrees to the proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine after the Russian president said he supports stopping the fighting but has “serious questions” about the US-led plan.
Putin signalled Russia could accept a ceasefire saying “the idea itself is correct, and we certainly support it," but said “there are issues that we need to discuss”.
