Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday that Russia launched a wave of overnight strikes across Ukraine, hitting two foreign-flagged vessels in the Black Sea and targets in Kyiv. The strikes come as Russia ramps up its pressure campaign intended to make Ukraine buckle under near-constant bombardment of its capital and other cities.
Russia hit two vessels sailing under foreign flags in Ukraine's Black Sea region of Odesa, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday.
Zelensky said that Russian strikes also damaged energy facilities, substations, civilian businesses and residential buildings.
The capital Kyiv and 10 other regions came under attack overnight, he added.

The Russian defence ministry on Tuesday said it struck two military cargo vessels in the Black Sea and two data centres in Kyiv overnight.
