The International Olympic Committee provisionally lifted its suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee on Tuesday, paving the way for Russian athletes and teams to move closer to competing under their flag and anthem at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics despite strong objections from Ukraine.

Russia moved a step closer on Tuesday to having a full team compete under its national flag and anthem at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
