Russell Brand was described as 'ruthless' and 'calculating' by a prosecutor who outlined allegations against the comedian at London's Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old entertainer allegedly pursued sexual encounters without regard for whether the women involved consented, with prosecutors describing a pattern of behaviour spanning several years.
