Commuters in the capital are being warned to expect delays of up to 80 minutes after a horror crash on the A720 Edinburgh city bypass.
Emergency services temporarily closed the westbound carriageway near the Lothianburn junction following reports of a collision at around 7.20am on Wednesday.
Traffic Scotland has warned vehicles are now queuing up past Sheriffhall as drivers attempt to get to work.

It is not currently known how many vehicles were involved in the smash or if anyone has been injured.
The westbound carriageway was reopened shortly after 8am but travellers faced massive delays.
Traffic Scotland tweeted: “A720 Lothianburn. Traffic on the move again Westbound with all lanes running. Long delays this morning back from Sheriffhall. Approx 1 hour 20 minute delays.”
