'Warm-toned shades work well in north-facing rooms that tend to be short on natural light, as they help to minimise the appearance of shadows while softening any reflections from artificial light sources. Vibrant, cool-toned hues work well in south-facing spaces but can overpower naturally darker rooms, making the space feel enclosed.'
