Rudy Giuliani Agrees To Stop False Accusations In Georgia Election

Rudy Giuliani Outside of the Fulton County Jail following the indictment of former U.S. President Trump

Rudy Giuliani has agreed to never again publicly accuse two Georgia election workers of tampering with votes in the 2020 election. This false accusation has led to his bankruptcy. The agreement stipulates that Giuliani will refrain from making any statements suggesting that the election workers, Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss, engaged in wrongdoing in connection with the election.

The agreement gives Freeman and Moss the power to hold Giuliani accountable if he repeats defamatory statements. Attorneys for the workers have stated that they can take legal action against Giuliani immediately if he violates the agreement.

Giuliani had previously made false statements accusing Freeman and Moss of tampering with ballots and spreading lies about the election. A trial resulted in a $148 million judgment against Giuliani, which he has yet to pay off.

The agreement also involves dropping a second lawsuit filed by Freeman and Moss against Giuliani. This legal battle sheds light on the harassment faced by election workers due to baseless claims about the 2020 election.

Giuliani, who is facing criminal charges in Georgia and Arizona for his actions in support of former President Donald Trump, has pleaded not guilty in both cases. He has been suspended from practicing law and is currently in Chapter 11 personal bankruptcy.

The agreement serves as a significant development in the ongoing legal saga involving Giuliani, Freeman, and Moss, marking a potential turning point in the case.
