Rubio calls India a refining superpower, says US to discuss Venezuela oil with Reliance

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday described India as a “refining superpower”. He said that during his three-day visit to India, the US delegation would discuss oil production in Venezuela with Reliance Industries.

Rubio said India had the capacity to refine heavy crude and had done so in the past. While speaking to reporters in Mumbai he said this capability could become increasingly relevant as Venezuelan oil production expands.
