Ryan Tubridy has hit out at the 'most horrible, evil' things he's ever seen, as he blasted "Russian b***ards" for their actions in Ukraine.
The illegal invasion, which began back in February, has seen many horrific moments in the past seven weeks.
Hospitals have been targeted, over 100 children have been killed, while millions have fled to neighbouring countries and indeed Ireland.
Kicking off Thursday's edition of his RTE Radio One show, Ryan gave an impassioned speech about the situation in the likes of Kyiv and Mariupol, referencing President Voldymyr Zelenskyy's address to the Dáil and Seanad on Wednesday afternoon.
"I find it so hard to get my head around that people who were living in Ukraine were having a normal life and now they've been dragged into the seventh circle of hell.
"It's one of the most horrible, evil war crimes of them all."
Ryan's guest on Thursday morning's show was Sky News journalist Stuart Ramsay, a name you may be familiar with from earlier this year.
Stuart was part of the Sky crew who were shot at by a saboteur Russian reconnaissance squad while they were travelling towards Kyiv in February.
Before introducing him, Ryan explained the situation to anyone who hadn't seen it before, saying: "It doesn't matter that they're journalists. The car was unmarked anyway.
"This is what it feels like, by sound, to be a member of a civilised society in February of 2022, trying to get from A to B and then these Russian b***ards, to use a very polite word - there's a sub-strand of the Russian army that have these particularly brutal creatures, dark, dark forces, whose only job is to wreak terror on good people."
Ryan then played the shocking clip, which you can see here.
Stuart explained at the time: "Out of nowhere a small explosion and I saw something hit the car and a tyre burst. We rolled to a stop.
"The first round cracked the windscreen. Camera operator Richie Mockler huddled into the front passenger footwell. Then we were under full attack.
"Bullets cascaded through the whole of the car, tracers, bullet flashes, windscreen glass, plastic seats, the steering wheel, and dashboard had disintegrated.
"I do recall wondering if my death was going to be painful. And then I was hit in the lower back."
