Episode five sees Eric aka Viking (Sam Keeley) ignoring his friend Kem's pleas not to pull the trigger before burning the evidence as he is under strict instructions from his Uncle Bren (Francis Magee), Buzz reports.
However, Bren's insistence that Viking be accompanied by the impressionable young Anthony (Mark McKenna), without the knowledge of his parents Amanda (Claire Dunne) and Jimmy (Emmett J Scanlan), really hit viewers hard.
As with the rest of the series that has been broadcast so far, fans were flocking to social media to share their thoughts on the most recent episode of the Kinsella family crime drama, and while some scenes have had fans slamming the show - this episode has received widespread praise all round.
One person posted on Twitter: “Best episode yet of #RTÉ Kin. Mesmerising”.
Another added: “Powerful episode of Kin tonight. Bravo to all involved.”
The praise kept coming with another posting: “Kin has got to win an Oscar for the worst acting in the history of television.”
Kin continues Sunday, April 23 at 9:30pm on RTÉ One with episode six, with the official plot reading: “Bren seeks out Anna openly against Michael's wishes. Amanda looks global for business opportunities, and Birdy's past and present trauma begin to collide.”
